Although I have had no formal training in art, I have been inspired by my grandfather Bruno Ducceschi (sculptor, painter, and art restorer), and father Julian (graphic artist, cartoonist, and draftsman), and through several instructional classes over the years. Live drawing classes 1990’s, Printmaking (Emily Carr Italy course, Florence 1993), Sculpture course through Capilano University, Felt-making workshop with Chantal Cardinal 2019, Flow mixed media class with Sharry Bartlett 2021
Since retiring from my full-time work in April 2022, I have dedicated more time to the exploration of various media. Along with my good friend Joanne, we have been creating paintings with acrylics, watercolor and gouache, as well as working with raw wool to create felted works and rug hooking art.
