The Fir Tree

The inspiration for this project came from seeing a striking painting by Isabel Mc Laughlin (Tree 1935) in the “Uninvited: Canadian women artists in the Modern Moment” exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery. I set out to photograph many trees on our property on Lasqueti Island until I found the one!
